PermaLinkQuote: The Light Just Goes Off With The IT Folks

Why, oh why, would IBM feature an interview in which a business partner says the light goes "off" with IT when you talk with customers about IBM Workplace? I don't know why, but they did. It was on the big screen during an interlude in presentations for Business Development Day. Very strange.

Are they spinning it as most drones in IT are just too shortsighted to get it, they're not "hip" enough to get the totally new proactive paradigm that is IBM Workplace (tm)?

I think it was just a case of mixed idioms. It was intended to be a positive. The guy was thinking "light's go on" and "bells go off" at the same time, and it came out "lights go off". But why IBM didn't catch it and do a re-take? That's the real question.

Hmmm... speaking of catching it and doing a re-take, I guess I should fix that bit of html that snuck into the rich text for this post
