I'm starting to pick up referrers from this eWeek article, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to welcome any newcomers to The Power of the Schwartz, and also to review some information about blogging with Notes and Domino.

The article states "IBM already offers blogging capabilities within its flagship Domino collaboration product.". This is true, but only in-so-far as Notes and Domino are a programmable platform that can support blogging applications. IBM doesn't direclty support any blogging templates. Open source and third parties, however, do. I am using a version of the open source BlogSphere template from OpenNTF. Previously I used a template called FreeDom Blog, but the author of that template no longer supports it, so no link for him! Many people use DominoBlog from ProjectDX. Quite a few other resources, including additional blog templates and Notes and Domino based RSS aggregators are listed in the presentation that Declan Lynch and I did at Lotusphere 2005 -- which you can also view in the form of a wiki.

One more thing... There's a good article about this by David DeJean over on the IBM site, and another article by Mark Baard over on SearchDomino
