As reported here, here and here, Dell is offering a bundle of hardware and services to customers who want to upgrade from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. About 40% of Exchange customers are still on 5.5 and the clock is ticking so this is a sizeable piece of business in a foreseeable time-frame, and Dell is smart to go after it.
Of course, there's an alternative. I think it would be a smart move for IBM to respond to the Dell announcement quickly... at least with an update of the information on their web site to refer to the current Domino release. Better yet would be to put out a comparison between Dell's hardware/service offering and an IBM and BP hardware/software/services bundle. After all, IBM offers Exchange 5.5 to 2003 migration services, too, so Dell's bundle is in direct competition.
