The folks at BlogDigger responded very quickly to my report that their feeds were broken. They're working again. Good work! Judging by the response on my blog, I think it was the fact that I blogged about the problem that brought it to their attention rather than the email that I had sent. I wonder if Lotus tech support and operations staff for IBM web sites are searching on services like BlogDigger for reports of problems in their offerings?
As I had mentioned, the BlogDigger feeds were broken by a bad encoding of a URL that they had included to solicit feedback on the ads that they are now adding to their feeds. Now that the feeds are working, I'm getting the ads. Ads coming through in feeds from some fo the trade magazines bug me a bit, but I don't mind the ads in BlogDigger at all. Their search tools are bringing me information that is more consistently relevant than even the most finely-grained feed from the trade pubs. But, why, oh why?... Why did the first ad I received have to be from Forbes, home of the infamous Daniel Lyons??!!
