GoogleIt Mail IT Print IT PermaLinkYankee Stadium Is Not A Landmark?

I'm taking my daughter to New York for a Yankee game next weekend, and I decided to book a hotel room for the night, so I went to hotels.com. I selected "New York" from their list of popular cities, entered the date, and then clicked on "Landmarks" to narrow the search to hotels close to the stadium. To my great surprise, the list of landmarks that the site presented didn't include Yankee Stadium. It included Shea, but not the House That Ruth Built.

Then again, the way the Yankees and Mets have been playing lately, this might be appropriate.

Whoever added Shea Stadium must have thought that they were adding to a list of landfills, not landmarks. What a dump.
